RATIONALE
Many people use delegation as a way of offloading routine tasks which they do not like or do not think they have the time to do. However, when used properly, effective delegation is one of the most valuable skills that reduces workload and enhances productivity through teamwork. Effective Delegation allows one to make the best use of their time and skills, and also helps other people in the team grow and develop to reach their full potential in the organisation.
Delegation is a win-win situation when done appropriately. Nevertheless that does not mean that you can delegate just anything. Without mastering delegation, it is impossible to expand one’s range of responsibilities or to empower others to grow. For many, it is a difficult transition from being paid for doing it yourself and/or getting the work done through others. Delegation is a critical skill to assist time-starved supervisors and managers into becoming more effective for themselves, their teams and their organisations at large. Therefore, this workshop will help its participants identify the key factors affecting successful delegation.
